A Wedding at St.Pauls.....

I'm afraid my photography skills leave alot to be desired  - they've got so much worse since having Delilah, I find I generally don't have time to take any, and when I do they're always really rushed as I'm either trying to take one before she moves/wakes up/cries! But anyway I feel I had to share with you a couple of snaps of a wedding I went to at St.Paul's Cathedral, yes the very one! We were excited to say the least, we managed to survive a train journey (with no emergenecy alarms being pulled - yes this has happened, I have a very mischievious little girl!) and still looked halfway decent by the time we got there - save the obligatory rice cake crumbs and some very sticky hands....

 Delilah and I both wore red shoes, it was a good day :)

One thing I didn't expect was how relaxed and also intimate it felt at such a huge grand place, it was so cosy and beautiful, the bride looked stunning but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to snap her walking down the aisle.

The reception was afternoon tea at Stratford old town hall, the building was amazing, I had to capture the gorgeous pattern on the ceiling.

Colourful Florals

To be honest I'm generally a winter loving lady, and tsp, when people moan about the cold, as I love to get all wrapped up and snug in lovely boots, chunky knits and drink gallons of tasty hot chocolate. However, even I am now craving some sun light, as these patterns I think show. I was thinking they'd work well as sun hats, pretty summer dresses and puff sleeve shirts. Maybe next week will be brighter :)

C'est La Vie!

A couple french word designs that I particularly liked that didn't get chosen for a project I did recently. I kind of feel sorry for them (I really need to get out more!) But hopefully they'll eventually be used for something else - I was thinking the top one could be used for a little girls pinafore or maybe bedsheets or something?

Anyone else feel sorry for their rejected designs?

Marimekko Love

Ian bought me these beautiful tulips this week, and I loved the gorgeous colours - they're just so uplifting and instantly made me think of one of my favourite designers Marimekko.

I have a lovely Finnish friend knowing my love of this wonderful happy brand has sent me a few tasty design treats, some serviettes.......love the bright pinks and reds...

.....a chirpy chicken! I recently lost my keys for a few days (am far too scatty at the moment!) and was much more worried about loosing this happy fella than being able to actually get in and out the house! I just love the simplicity in all their designs and the eye popping colour.

Also, it turns out I'm cooking up another Coote! Baby number 2 will be due in August - I'm sure I'm a bit crazy and will probably never sleep again (!) but we're all really excited abut it. I'm thinking this may be the perfect baby grow for the little new addition!
