The Christmas present I made for my Mum and Dad using a Mini Moderns tea towel (I learnt how to make the footstool at one of the workshops at Make Do & Mend).

Somethings............
I've been meaning to post for a while now. But first - Look! I managed to get hold of one of the Orla Kiely designed tops for Uniqlo!! The fact that it's not exactly my size is another matter...........(it was just too delicious to pass up!)

Make & Mend Book
Last week I received this wonderful book called 'Make & Mend' written, designed and illustrated by Rebecca Peacock and Sam Tickner of Firecatcher. I've been a big fan of their illustrations for a while, and was lovely to see some of the work in print. The book is packed full of lovely projects, and lots of different techniques and useful tips. I love the way it's written and the quirky illustrations throughout - and I absolutely love the front cover (I knew I'd love it on seeing this!)

Alie's Flowers, Sophie's Photos
Morning! Hope everyone's having a good one, I am, I have baby in a sling taking a very uncharacteristic nap in the day, tea in flask (a shortbread biscuit or two) and these beautiful photos to look at! My sister Alie's flowers look just so lovely in these amazing photos by the wonderful Sophie Booth. Sophie did our wedding photos and has a lovely new blog here: http://www.sophieboothphotography.co.uk/apps/blog
And Alie's floristry adventure continues here: http://www.alieblackman.blogspot.com/
I absolutely love all the colours and the feel of the pictures - I almost want to get married again so I can book them both!xxx
