C'est La Vie!

A couple french word designs that I particularly liked that didn't get chosen for a project I did recently. I kind of feel sorry for them (I really need to get out more!) But hopefully they'll eventually be used for something else - I was thinking the top one could be used for a little girls pinafore or maybe bedsheets or something?

Anyone else feel sorry for their rejected designs?

Marimekko Love

Ian bought me these beautiful tulips this week, and I loved the gorgeous colours - they're just so uplifting and instantly made me think of one of my favourite designers Marimekko.

I have a lovely Finnish friend knowing my love of this wonderful happy brand has sent me a few tasty design treats, some serviettes.......love the bright pinks and reds...

.....a chirpy chicken! I recently lost my keys for a few days (am far too scatty at the moment!) and was much more worried about loosing this happy fella than being able to actually get in and out the house! I just love the simplicity in all their designs and the eye popping colour.

Also, it turns out I'm cooking up another Coote! Baby number 2 will be due in August - I'm sure I'm a bit crazy and will probably never sleep again (!) but we're all really excited abut it. I'm thinking this may be the perfect baby grow for the little new addition!
