The Florals are Back!
Ok, so it didn't last very long, I just felt the need to draw flowers again today! Anyway I'm getting some fabric printed with this design for a project and can't decide on which colourway to go with - please can I ask any of you guys which colour do you think is nicest in the background, the green, pink or yellow? Would really appreciate any feedback :-) xxx

Oscars!
I recently did another illustration for the wonderful Amelia's magazine on an article about the Oscars, written by Helen Martin (who by the way also has a fantastic blog, for the past few days filled with fun London Fashion Week tales!). I showed 3 oscars with 3 different patterns behind to represent stars, sparkle and schmooze! To see the post please click here. There are some amazing illustrations of the nominees on there - just looking forward to seeing the highlights of the show now so I can drool over all the dresses!

Amelia's Magazine
I love Amelia's magazine, the ethos, the articles and most of all the visual loveliness of it all! Yesterday I had a little illustration in with an article about Valentine's Day through music - I love the post, if you fancy having a read please click here.

X Presents....Exchange Studios Art Gallery and Artist Studios Private View
Last night I went to the private view of X Presents Exchange Art Space in Harold Hill. I can't tell you how lovely it was to be going to something like this in Harold Hill, as generally there doesn't really seem to much creative going on there. The Space has just opened in a disused shop on Petersfield Avenue and showcases a range of young artists and local artists and groups.
I exhibited a range of my pattern designs along with the work the Sensory Art Class which is part of the New Opportunities Group Havering. I teach this group which is for adults with learning disabilities, and was so proud to see their work being professionally exhibited. These are their pots on display:
There were lots of great artists there - some were inviting people to draw using long sticks, it was really fun!

Lovely Things!
I love getting post - and today I received some gorgeous things from the Lovely Lisa from Mathilde ♥ Manech. Imagine my excitement when receiving something wrapped as beautifully as this:
And these gorgeous tea cards which I had been coveting since her online shop opened here.
And I just LOVE the hoop - can't wait to find a nice place to hang it in our flat. Thanks Lisa!xx

Nearly the big V day
It's nearly here - Valentine's Day, am never really sure how I feel about it, without getting all sappy I love to indulge in a bit of romance/affection everyday of the the year, rather than just on the one day. But I do love the sentiment even if it is really commercialized. Here's my 'he loves me' pattern.

60's Pattern
Today's dress was a bit 60's inspired, thought it could be the pattern on a little neck scarf or mad men (Peggy?) style dress.
